Beyond the Ribbon – Terms and Conditions of Sale
Website: www.beyondtheribbon.co.uk
Business: Beyond the Ribbon
Last updated: August 2026
These Terms and Conditions apply to purchases made through the Beyond the Ribbon website.
Beyond the Ribbon sells print-on-demand, made-to-order, personalised and custom-designed products, including clothing, accessories, homeware, gifts, artwork and other products featured on our website.
By placing an order with us, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your legal rights as a consumer.
2. Products and Print-on-Demand Items
Many of our products are produced specifically after an order has been placed.
Because our products may be printed, manufactured or personalised to order, the appearance of the finished product may vary slightly from images shown on the website. This may include minor variations in colour, print positioning or appearance caused by different screens, printing processes, materials and manufacturing batches.
Where measurements and sizing information are provided, customers should carefully check the relevant size guide before ordering.
For personalised or custom products, customers are responsible for ensuring that all information, names, wording, spelling, images and other details supplied to us are correct.
Once a personalised or custom order has entered production, we may not be able to make changes or cancel the order.
3. Placing an Order
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products.
An order confirmation email confirms that we have received your order. Your order may be accepted when we confirm that the products have entered production or are being prepared for dispatch.
We reserve the right to cancel an order where:
a product is unavailable;
there is an obvious pricing or description error;
the information supplied by the customer is incomplete or unsuitable;
a personalised design cannot reasonably be produced;
we suspect fraudulent activity; or
circumstances outside our reasonable control prevent us from fulfilling the order.
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, you will receive a refund for the amount paid for the cancelled order.
4. Pricing and Payment
All prices displayed on the website are the prices applicable at the time of ordering.
Where applicable, delivery charges will be shown before payment is completed.
Payment must be made in full when placing an order unless another payment arrangement has been expressly agreed.
We reserve the right to correct obvious pricing errors. If an incorrect price has been displayed and you have already placed an order, we will contact you before processing the order.
5. Production and Delivery Times
Because many of our products are produced on demand, delivery times may be longer than those of standard off-the-shelf products.
The estimated production and delivery time shown on the website or at checkout is an estimate rather than a guaranteed delivery date unless we expressly state otherwise.
Orders may take additional time during busy periods, holidays, promotional periods, manufacturing delays, courier delays or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where a specific delivery period has been agreed with you, we will make reasonable efforts to meet that period.
If an order is significantly delayed, please contact us and we will investigate the status of the order.
Nothing in these Terms removes any legal rights you may have in relation to delivery.
6. Custom and Personalised Products
Custom-made and personalised products are produced specifically for the customer and may not be suitable for resale.
For this reason, the usual 14-day cancellation right for unwanted goods generally does not apply to genuinely personalised or bespoke products.
For example, this may include products featuring:
a customer's name;
a customer's photograph;
individually supplied artwork;
a custom design created specifically for the customer; or
This does not affect your statutory rights if the product is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise does not meet the requirements of UK consumer law.
7. Non-Personalised Products and Cancellation
For standard, non-personalised products purchased online, consumers may generally have a statutory 14-day cancellation period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, subject to applicable exceptions.
Where a customer exercises a valid statutory cancellation right, the customer must return the goods in accordance with the applicable legal requirements.
This cancellation right does not generally apply to genuinely personalised or bespoke products.
8. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products
We take care to ensure that orders are produced and dispatched to the required standard.
If your order arrives damaged, faulty, defective or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible.
We ask customers to report faults, damage or incorrect items within 7 days of receiving the order wherever possible, preferably with clear photographs showing the issue and the packaging where relevant.
This 7-day reporting period helps us investigate production and delivery problems quickly and allows us to raise issues with our production or delivery partners.
However, this 7-day reporting request does not remove or restrict your statutory consumer rights.
If a product is faulty, not as described or does not meet the legal requirements applicable to consumer goods, you may have rights to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
We will assess reported problems fairly and in accordance with UK consumer law.
Because many of our products are made to order, we do not generally accept returns of personalised or custom-made products simply because the customer has changed their mind.
For standard non-personalised products, statutory cancellation and return rights may apply where required by law.
Where a return is agreed, we will provide instructions for returning the product.
Returned products should be unused and in appropriate condition unless the return relates to a fault or defect.
Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.
10. Refunds
Where a refund is legally due, we will process the refund in accordance with applicable UK consumer law.
If an item is confirmed to be faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise fails to meet the applicable legal requirements, we will discuss the appropriate remedy with you.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include a replacement, repair, partial refund or full refund.
We will not use these Terms and Conditions to exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Customer-Supplied Images and Content
Where customers upload photographs, artwork, text or other material for use on a product, the customer confirms that they have the necessary rights and permissions to use that material.
Customers must not submit material that infringes another person's copyright, trademark, privacy rights or other legal rights.
We reserve the right to refuse to produce material that we reasonably believe is unlawful, offensive, defamatory, discriminatory or infringes the rights of another person.
12. Intellectual Property
All website content belonging to Beyond the Ribbon, including logos, branding, product designs, photographs, graphics, text and original artwork, remains the property of Beyond the Ribbon or its relevant licensors unless otherwise stated.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute or commercially use our content without written permission.
Where a customer supplies their own artwork or image, the customer retains responsibility for the rights associated with that material.
13. Website Information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, measurements and prices are accurate.
However, colours displayed on individual screens can vary from the actual printed product.
Minor variations in colour, positioning, texture or finish do not necessarily constitute a fault where the product remains substantially as described.
14. Delivery Problems
If your order has not arrived within the expected delivery period, please contact us so that we can investigate with the relevant production or delivery provider.
We may request your order number, delivery address and any relevant tracking information.
We cannot guarantee delivery dates where delays are caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including courier delays, postal disruption, customs delays, extreme weather, strikes, technical failures or other unforeseen circumstances.
Where the law gives you a right to cancel or obtain a remedy because of a delivery failure, nothing in these Terms affects that right.
15. Events Outside Our Control
We will not be responsible for delays or failure to perform our obligations where the cause is outside our reasonable control.
This may include natural disasters, severe weather, fire, flood, war, civil unrest, strikes, postal or courier disruption, manufacturing problems, power or internet failures, government restrictions or other unforeseen events.
We will make reasonable efforts to minimise the effect of any such event.
16. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful.
In particular, we do not exclude or restrict liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.
We are not responsible for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable or for indirect losses where the law permits such limitation.
17. Privacy and Personal Data
When you place an order or contact Beyond the Ribbon, we may collect personal information such as your name, email address, delivery address, billing information, telephone number, order details and information necessary to produce and deliver your purchase.
We use personal information to:

We do not sell customers' personal information.
Personal information will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including legal, accounting and record-keeping requirements.
Our Privacy Policy provides further information about how personal data is collected, used, stored and protected.
18. Your Data Protection Rights

the right to be informed about how your personal information is used;
the right to access your personal information;
the right to request correction of inaccurate information;
the right to request deletion in certain circumstances;
the right to restrict processing in certain circumstances;

19. Cookies

Where consent is required for non-essential cookies, we will request consent in accordance with applicable law.
You can manage certain cookie preferences through your browser and, where available, our website cookie settings.
20. Complaints

Please provide:
your order number;
your name;
a description of the problem;
We aim to deal with complaints fairly and as quickly as reasonably possible.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Products supplied to consumers must meet the applicable legal requirements, including being as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose where required by law.
We cannot use these Terms and Conditions to remove rights that the law gives you.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless applicable consumer protection law requires otherwise.
Any dispute will be dealt with by the courts having appropriate jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.
23. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our business, products, website or legal requirements.
The version applicable to your purchase will generally be the version in force when you place your order.
24. Contact

Important Notice for Customers
Beyond the Ribbon produces many products specifically after an order is placed. This means production and delivery can take longer than standard retail purchases.
Please check product descriptions, sizing information and estimated delivery information carefully before ordering.
Personalised and custom-made products are generally not eligible for cancellation simply because you have changed your mind. However, your statutory rights are always protected.
If your product arrives faulty, damaged or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible and, where possible, within 7 days of delivery, with photographs of the issue.
The 7-day reporting request does not remove or restrict any statutory rights you may have under UK consumer law.
